Joliet's History

All Roads Lead to Joliet Flyer.jpg
The above Lyons Club flyer was found in June of 2025.  It mentions the Montaqua hot springs as being active at the time of printing so it was printed before 1959 when a 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit the Hebgen Lake area north of Yellowstone National Park, breaking fissures at far-away Montaqua Hot Springs. This not only eliminated the water source of the hot springs but a natural gas fracture erupting into a firestorm destroying much of the spa facilities.
